### How much does Sora 2 cost?

On the OpenAI API, Sora 2 is $0.10 per second of 720p video at the standard tier and $0.05 per second in batch. Sora 2 Pro is $0.30 per second at 720p, $0.50 at 1024p and $0.70 at 1080p, halved in batch. A ten-second 720p Sora 2 clip is therefore $1.00 standard or $0.50 batch, from the rows on this page.

### Is Sora 2 free?

Not on the API. Every Sora 2 row on OpenAI's pricing page is a per-second price, and this page records only those. The Sora app and ChatGPT plans are separate consumer products with their own limits; whether they include free generations is not part of the API price and is not recorded here.

### What is the difference between Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro pricing?
