This is a route view, not a provider’s own schedule

Amazon Bedrock is a hosting platform, not a model provider. Every row below is a retirement date Amazon Bedrock has published for a model it hosts, sourced from Amazon Bedrock’s own retirement schedule — not each model provider’s first-party page. A hosted provider’s own API can publish a different date for the same model; see the divergence section below where that gap is documented and dated.

When the same model retires on different dates

The same model can carry a different published retirement date on each route it ships on. These 3 models on this page have a documented, dated gap between routes, largest spread first. Radar does not reconcile the dates — use the one for the route you actually call.

Frequently asked questions

How much notice does Amazon Bedrock give before retiring a model?

Amazon Bedrock states at least 180 days’ notice before retirement: “A model stays in Legacy state for at least six months before its end-of-life (EOL) date.”

What does a "no sooner than" date mean?

It’s a floor, not a deadline. Some providers publish only the earliest possible shutdown date for a model, with the final date to be confirmed later. Treat it as "this won’t happen before this date," not as the date itself.

What’s the difference between "Announced" and "First observed by Radar"?

"Announced" is the date the provider itself published the notice — it only appears on a row when the provider discloses one. "First observed by Radar" is Radar’s own collection timestamp, the date its pipeline first saw the source; it is never presented as the provider’s own announcement date.

Is this Amazon Bedrock’s own retirement schedule?

No — Amazon Bedrock is a hosting platform for models from multiple providers, not a model provider itself. This page lists every retirement date Amazon Bedrock has published for a model it hosts, sourced from Amazon Bedrock’s own schedule. A hosted provider’s first-party API can publish a different date for the same model; the divergence section above lists the cases where that gap is documented and dated.
